Infotify

Support

Write to contact@nativia.co and a person will read it.

There is no ticket system and no chatbot. The questions below are the ones that come up; if yours is not here, the address above is the whole of it.

An article will not open.

Tapping a headline opens the publisher’s own page, and some publishers block being opened inside an app. Press and hold the article to open it in your browser instead.

My feed is empty, or stuck.

Pull down to refresh. If it stays empty, the news service may be briefly unreachable — the app keeps the last articles it loaded so there is something to read in the meantime. If it lasts more than a few minutes, tell us.

How do I change the subjects in my feed?

From Settings, or from the banner at the top of the feed. The list is yours and changing it takes effect immediately.

Where do the articles come from?

From publishers, through a news aggregator. Infotify does not write anything and does not rank publishers by hand — it shows what the aggregator returns for the subject you asked for. The privacy page explains the path a request takes.

A story is wrong, or a source should not be there.

Corrections belong with the publisher, who is named on every card. If a source is appearing that should not be, send us the link and we will look at it.

How do I free up space?

Settings → Clear cached articles. It removes the stored copies and keeps your saved articles and your subjects.

How do I stop the notifications?

Turn them off for Infotify in your Android settings, or in the app. There is nothing to unsubscribe from — the reminder is scheduled on your own phone.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android settings. Everything Infotify holds is on your phone; there is no account and no copy elsewhere. The details are here.

Reporting a bug

Infotify is open source. Bugs and feature requests are welcome as issues on GitHub, where they stay visible; email works just as well if you would rather not have an account for that either.

Whichever you use, the version number from Settings and the name of your phone turn a report into something that can be fixed.
